Description

Delicious strawberry cream sandwiches perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
  • 8 slices White Bread

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, pat dry, and slice them into thin rounds.
  2. Whip the cream cheese in a bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the heavy whipping cream, vanilla, and powdered sugar to the whipped cream cheese and whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in the lemon zest into the cream mixture.
  5. Spread the creamy filling on half of the white bread slices, then top with arranged strawberry slices.
  6. Top with the remaining slices of bread and press gently.
  7. Score a diagonal line across the top of each sandwich.
  8. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  9. Unwrap, trim crusts if necessary, and cut into the desired portions before serving.
