Description

A hearty and comforting beef and potato casserole.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  3. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the cooked ground beef, and then half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef, and cheese.
  5. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with the milk until smooth.
  6. Pour the creamy mixture over the casserole, covering it well.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until tender and bubbly.
  9. Let the casserole cool slightly before serving.

  • Make sure to grease the baking dish to prevent sticking.
