Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg yolk and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix in flour and salt until just combined, forming a soft dough.
- Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls; place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Use your thumb or a small object to create an indent in each ball.
- Fill each indentation generously with jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
