Delicious beef hand pies filled with a savory mixture of ground beef, vegetables, and spices.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3/4 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well until everything is combined.
- Mix in the frozen vegetables and cook for 2–3 more minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares or circles.
- Add a spoonful of filling to each piece of pastry. Brush edges with water or egg wash. Fold and seal with a fork.
- Place hand pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush tops with egg wash.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm for the best taste.
- These hand pies can be frozen before baking for later use.
