Description

Delicious buffalo chicken wontons filled with creamy goodness, perfect for a party or game day!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 1 lb)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying (about 2 cups)
  • Ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken by poaching in boiling water for about 15 minutes until fully cooked. Shred while warm.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, buffalo sauce, chopped green onions, and minced garlic. Mix until smooth.
  3. Lay out wonton wrappers and place about 1 tablespoon of filling in each center. Moisten edges with water and seal tightly.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the rangoons until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes each side.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

  • These wontons can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
  • Adjust the buffalo sauce to increase or decrease the spice level as desired.
