Description

A delightful cherry whipped cream dessert that’s perfect for summer!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp gelatin powder
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cherry topping by combining pitted and halved cherries with sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until softened.
  2. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a small bowl and then heat gently until dissolved.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whip cold heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the cooled gelatin mixture into the whipped cream using a spatula.
  5. Layer the whipped cream mixture with cherry topping in serving bowls or glasses.
  6. Chill for at least two hours before serving.

  • Feel free to adjust sweetness by adding more or less powdered sugar.
